I read a book “GRADIATOR”. It's a long and exciting story. Maximus is strong, but he could not protect his family and he was become a gradiator. He was so sad but he deside to fight Commodus. Commodus is a prince of Rome, and he is cruelly and mean person. In the fight, Commodus was not fair. he hurt Maximus's body before the fight. But finally, Maximus won!! He was the real strong man, and he went a place where his wife and son are laughing.
I enjoyed this story.

ASSIGNMENT 6

During a winter vecation, I and my friends made a funny, nice plan. It's to watch 10 movies during 2days of a weekend. Ofcouse without sleep!! (^-^;)
And the weekend comimg!! last night, my friends came my home. And now, we have finished watching 10 DVDs!! Among 10 movies, are a horror and 2 comedys of Japan, 3 romances of Korea, 3 movies of American and... a british movie. This UK movie is really great!! I was exiting and moved my mind!! So, now I introduce about it☆

The movie's title is “V for Venddeta”. It's a simply introduction.→ In the not too distant future, Britain is filled with torture cells, unfair punishments, prejudice against minorities. However in the mist of all this chaos, one man known only by the name V dares to stand up to the government and is labeled as a terrorist. One night V rescues a mild young woman called Evey Hammond and an unlikely bond between the two emerges which results with Evey becoming Vs ally. But though V may be charismatic and have a passion for justice he also is bitter and has his own personal hatred of the government for something they did to him long ago. As November the 5th, the day V says he and those who will follow him will stand up to the government once and for all approaches, Detective Finch becomes more and more determined to uncover the truth about V, however his search leads him to ask to question whether or not he is on the right side.

I like “V”'s talks and behaviors. He is a dangerous man but, is a gentleman. Hugo Weaving perform as “V”, and Natalie Portman performs as Evey. Their performances are very good!! Natalie cuts her hair off and become a bold head in the movie! I was surprised! She is really beautiful enough without beautiful hair. I like them.

And I like sounds in the movie too!! “1812” is particularly great!! I like this overtyre of Tchaicovsky very much due to perform a concert when I was a junior high school student. We played this music by wind music orchestra. However, it is a full orchestra by an official concert, and it is played with cannons. The overture begins for a holy small melody, and the finish is dinamic and magnificent!! I want to go a concert is played thid overture someday...

It's very interestingmovie. It's really british movie. For example, some words of William Shakespeare are quoted in the movie. The stage looks like George Orwell's novel “1984”. And in the story, happened looks like Guy fawkes Day, Gunpower Plot. In fact, I don't know about these things enough to explain, but I could enjoy this movie. I really recommend it!! (^▽^)

During winter vercation, I read a book “BOOTLEG”. It's my favorite book!! This book was written by Alex Shearer. I think he is a greatest writer. I like his books. And I really like this story!!!

The story was drawn a adventure of a two boys. Somewhere of the world, a country desided “NO MORE CHOCOLATE!!” because the reader thinks that chokolates are not healthy and give bad effect for children. But!! the two boys, Smudger and Huntly, discover an overlooked stock of cocoa and sugar, their secret chocolate-making business takes off fast. They do BOOTLEG!!

I love chocolate like Smudger and Huntly. So, I really understood their minds. I always get excited or get joy with them. It's a best book for people that likes chocolate. If you finish reading the book, you certainly feel that I want to eat chocolate!!
I recommend this book☆ And I really like the onother his book “The Great Blue Yonder”, “The Stolen”, “Sea Legs”and so on. I recommend them too!!

I read a book, “Johnny English”. It's a story of a man who belong to Secret Service. Johnny English is a name of a Secret Service agent. He is not a good Secret Service agent, but finally he get success and one love. It's a comedy. So, I enjoyed this story and I want to watch same title's movie!

ASSIGNMENT☆ (BOOK REVIEW 10,11)

Recently, I read two easy books. I read “The Original Peter Rabbit Books”. These were written by Beatrix Potter. And I read “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” and “The Tale of Johnny Town-mouse”.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published in 1902, and it was her first book. A one day, Peter went outside and ate Mr.maggoto's vegitables. And he was followed ...and catched trap!! But finally, he could back home. It's a his adoventure story.

The Tales of Johnny Town-Mouse is based on an Aesop Fable. And I remember the word “One place suits one person, another place suits another person.”

I 'm favorite these books. Because these books have very beautiful pictures. These were written by Beatrix too. The book have good story with beautiful view and very cute charactores!! I recommend them☆

Today, I read “White Fang”. It's a story of a wolf. I like animals, and especially like dogs. So I like this story.

White Fang is a name of a one wolf. His father is a wolf, but his mother is a dog. He glew up in the North land, but he was taken to the South land by men. At last, he lived in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

I like Jack London's description of wolves. There are the another book written by Jack London at Library in my university. I want to try those books!

Wonderful Little Actors☆

Yesterday night, I watched one Krean movie. My perents came at the station near my hometown, and we went to city hall. Because my mother had bought movie tickets of special screening. The movie that we watched is

“奇跡の夏 (A miracle of Summer)”. It's a Korean movie. And this title means “Good-bye, brother (안녕, 형아)” with Korean. And in America, it's known “Little Brother”.

Hani is a very cheerful boy, and he has an smart older brother, Hambyol. They are very good brothers. But one day, Hambyol felt so bad, and he went to a hospital. At there, their family know that he has brain tumor...

Hani is a cheerful, but he also naughty. And he is too little to understand his brother's disease. So he does something spiteful to his brother. Because he think that his brother monopolize their perents. But he watches the older brother that appearance becomes bad on a day on a day and knows his state. Then, he changed. I was deeply moved by his growth and his older brother's struggle against his disease. Hani is very cute and cheerful. And Hambyol is really calm and kind. So I like them.

A litlle boys performance is very natural and perfect!!

This story was made based on a real story. So, we more moved.

Because I could watch a splendid 2 movies during 2 days, I was very glad☆

Yesterday, I came back to my hometown by JR. During in the train,
I read a book
“ONE-WAY TICKET Short Stories”.
These are 3 stories.

1. The Girl with Green Eyes
2. South for the winter
3. Mr Harris and the Night Train

The 3 stories all were not happy-end . And 3rd story was very scared me.

But I want to get on the trains that have carriages and corridors. And I want to travel accross Europe.

A Great Korean Movie☆

Yesterday, I watched one movie with my friends. That movie's title is “웰컴 투 동막골 ”, and the movie was made in Korea.
The title means “Welcome to Dongmakgol”. Dongmakgol is name of an aerial village.
The villagers in there are very pure and cheerful.




The movie is a really wonderful and great!!
It's a fantastic and heart-warming story, but it's describe the Krean War.

This movie made spectators laugh many times.
And they should drop their tears at climax.

The movie taught me that peaceful days are the most precious thing, and weapons only produce more anger, sadness, hatred.
I want many people to watch this movie!!

Last week, I read the book “U.F.O.s”. It's so strange and interesting.
I believe that UFOs must exist somewhere in the space.

The stories about UFOs are in this book. Tunguska, Roswell, Socorro, Bentwaters...UFOs were watched here and there in the world. Travis Walton's story frightened me. But I like UFO's films, “E.T.” and “Independence Day” and so on.

From Monday night until tonight,
I read a book “GANDHI”.
Do you know him? I knew him, but
I didn't know very well until I read
the book. I read this book and I know
many things about him.

He studied law at a college in London,
and his first job was in South Africa.
I didn't know that. And he married 13
years old!!I was surprised.
He fought for African, India and the people
that called untouchable. And he settle many
difficult problems by peaceful way. He do marching.
He do fast, too. He carried through “nonviolent”
exercise even if put in a prison.
So, I respect him.

If you read this book, You can know the relation and
history of Pakistan and India. I read, and I understood
a cause of problems between two countries.
It's a good book!!
